This summer has been a whirlwind for Jared and I. I graduated from nursing school in May, moved back to Santa Cruz, and took my nursing boards in June. In July, we got married, and spent an amazing week relaxing by the pool in Las Vegas! And now, in just 12 days, we are getting on a plane with a couple of suitcases, and moving to St. Andrews, Scotland for Jared to complete his masters degree. We are so excited, and cannot wait to see what this adventure brings.
I’m starting this blog to keep everyone updated on our adventures through Europe and wherever life takes us!
Here’s our plan for now, I have a feeling it could change pretty quickly 🙂 We’re leaving on September 4th and flying to London. We will spend a few days exploring London and hopefully recovering from our jet lag (we’ve been researching ways to minimize jet lag, any suggestions?). Then we’re taking a train from London to St. Andrews, Scotland, where we will finally see our new apartment! Jared starts orientation on Monday September 9th, and classes the following week. There seems to be a lot of welcome things for spouses too, which I am planning to check out. We need some friends! I am going to be looking for a job as soon as possible, hopefully something in the health care field!
For now, this is about all we know! We’re walking into this new adventure not knowing too much, but very excited to see where God takes us. We’ve chosen to go to St. Andrews at this time so that Jared can receive some further education, which will hopefully assist in planting a church one day. We do not really know what this will look like, where it will be, who it will be with, but at this point we feel like this is the direction God is leading us.
